I debated on posting this entry on my universal page or on my Scorpio page. I guess it did not matter since here I be.
It’s funny, before I sat down to write this, my mind swirled with thoughts, Ideas, dreams, goals and future wishes while having coffee. And since today is September 1, I want to reestablish my goals. I want to remove some of the goals that are no longer beneficial to me and I want to establish some new goals that will be most beneficial. I definitely need to reevaluate goals each season of my life. I call these moments in time, “Sustaining My Personal Circle.” Will you join me?
A Personal Circle Goal Sheet should look like these following five categories:
Relational (Aka. Spiritual)
1.) Mental: It is time to deal with my Shadow Side. This place in my brain is really waking up!! I think the best way to start out is to promise to write down all my dreams in a very organized fashion. I have NOT been very good at this. I wake up to the deepest of dreams, and really GET what they are saying to me and then I get out of bed and never take the time to evaluate my state of mind. I armor up every day to face the challenges of the world but I do not spend time with my sleeping self. It is time to do that. “Mindful Dream Journaling”. Do you know that there are real people in your dreams? Think about it. Shadow Side does not have to be some dark and evil place. In fact, I do not think it is that at all. It is perfectly classified as our Night SELF.
2.) Emotional: This is two fold. The energy I place around me makes me very emotional. Highs. Lows. Excited. Frustrated. Happy. Sad. I dare to say I don’t do “herring” mad so much any more in the stated of ANGRY-Mind Man but I am quite Mad. (The state of crazy Mind!) Why, I do not meditate properly each morning and just having a certificate that says I took a Meditation Class does not make me a practitioner. So, I must commit to Meditation at least 5 whole minutes each day before I begin my other practices and duties. Meditation in the morning will set my all my balances straight. It will set my financial balances, my thinking balances and my physical balances to show up in the BLACK. Secondly, I have to promise myself to speak to others about their path of emotions without offense. There are enough people out there who tell you what you need without any indication that they may be offending you. I am committed to being a practitioner of communication. Written, Verbal and Body Language. “Mindful Feeling.” I just need to CTFO.
3.) Physical. This is the hardest and the easiest of all. Don’t Overeat Gluten, Don’t over Drink Beer and Wine and Don’t over Smoke Hookah and oh, keep on exersising and write the BOOK!. (Yes, I found out I like a Hookah Pipe!-Strawberry……mmmmmmm.) Food, Dink and Exercise are “key” to keeping the categories listed above in check. Your body MUST keep moving in order to avoid shut down. I am very empathetic to those in chronic pain. It started to happen to me about 10 years ago when I was seen for my right hip pain. Dr. C just told me I had bursitis. What is that? I found that walking and stretching consistently, lessened by hip pain and yoga, well, just cures my soul all around. That chronic hip pain and some other digestive problems sent me on a path to seek wellness in my body. I lost 40 extra pounds from it. In 1999, at a consistent 180 lbs., I just figured I was set to be a voluptuous plus size women (LOL) and was going to settle with that. After 10+ years of losing 40 more pounds and then aging into my 40’s, well, I am now shooting for a Linda Carter status! I best get to cross fit very soon if I want to wear those gold bracelets. (Taking a Crossfit Class is now on the goal sheet). (Laura……………..help!………:) I know that there are times that we partake in things that are not as beneficial as the stalk of broccoli BUT I can say, a healthy body can process a little red wine or a bowl of ice cream or a migraine headache when in over all good health. We need to discard the falsehood that you cannot touch something which was not in Eden’s diet BUT please be mindful that garden fair is what should be eaten as primary nutrition as a rule! As far as the last part, Writing my Book. Only I can make my self do it so back to the top of the list she goes……Just do what makes you HAPPY and HEALTHY and do it Mindfully!
4.) Financial: My puke-y place. I love to spend money and shop and find great stuff manufactured in the world and have it and even give some stuff away. I love to sit at home in a comfortable bed running my AC and hiding my family from the vast humidity that adorns our Kentucky Leaves. I really love to find magical products like lipstick, face cream and bath salts or so we think! Every one of those products, cause my thinking to shift when I use them. (I told you I was crazy). But I have to stop just “buying” stuff. When I am in the mirror each and every day and I see my bare nakedness and it frightens me. So I slap on some Old Lady Cream and this plumping thing occurs on my face. Is that shape shifting? It does make me look better but is this also vanity? The point is not to obess over the spending but the goal here is to be sure I am not dressing myself up each day because I don’t like who I am. If I can set a goal to practice “Mindful Spending” and use money properly, I may just enjoy proper stewardship and feel better about myself. I can wager on the fact that I will never have to face another bankruptcy again and that there will be more than enough to go around those around me if I am Mindful with my Money. I am a fan of the Dave Ramsey plan and it is time to put one in order at the Goodyear Mansion so I can give and receive all desired provisions. There is enough! (BALANCE THE CHECKBOOK!)
5.) Relational: What do relational goals look like? Make Friends of Different Kinds. Learn more about other Cultures. Break Down the Socio-Economical barriers that separate one another and look for those who are not “like” me….(especially the dogmatic ones). Volunteer more. Promote more Hugs with ALL People. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, LOOK PEOPLE IN THE EYE AT ALL TIMES WHEN CONVERSING. We cannot keep shying away from one another when in conversation. If I can “relate” with you and look at you straight in your eye while we enjoy one another’s company, that soul group window will open. I promise it will. As uncomfortable as it may be to be “Mindful of Eye Ball Looking” if you can force yourself to do it, you will find Fear and Shame start to leave your life and the lives of others.
Everyday gives us the opportunity to create a magical circle. It is called a psychic shield. And when that shield is set up, you become a circle of light for the world.
